The environments in which we live and where we operate and work on a daily basis can be suitable places for the formation and proliferation of pathogens, thus harmful to our health.
Sprayed or stagnant water, hot water recirculation networks, air conditioners, storage tanks pose a risk of bacterial contamination. They therefore require complete disinfection actions
Safer environments
Whether in public facilities (hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, schools, etc.) or private facilities (hotels, swimming pools, health spas, hospitality centers in general), where people often occupy common spaces and use the same water, the hygiene and cleanliness of water systems is a priority that needs to be ensured with absolute certainty. Indeed, plumbing systems have critical areas: inside pipes, in stagnant or storage sections, in boilers, showers, distribution terminals and hot water recirculation systems, pathogens find environmental conditions for their proliferation.
Legionella
Present in all natural aquatic environments, such as rivers, lakes and spring waters, from which it ascends through water pipes into man-made settings, such as baths, reservoirs, swimming pools, etc., Legionella is one of the most prevalent pathogens and poses a health hazard. Legionella has its maximum development in the presence of suitable conditions such as temperature, aerobic environments, stagnant conditions, presence of biofilms and/or amoebas.
Humans contract the infection through aerosols, Legionella causes between 5 percent and 10 percent of total cases of community pneumonia and between 3 percent and 20 percent of all hospital pneumonias, and causes a few hundred cases each year in Italy, which are lethal between 5 percent and 15 percent. Since 2000, the Istituto Superiore di Sanità has prepared guidelines for the prevention and control of legionellosis (Official Gazette No. 103, May 5, 2000), which has been followed over the years by new national and European interventions
Remedies
Sanodyna® is the solution for the elimination of legionella bacteria. Sanitizes a facility’s water, cold and/or hot sanitary, in the most effective way by permanently eliminating contamination by Legionella and other pathogens, preventing their reproliferation in full compliance with regulations. By virtue of its metastable properties, Sanodyna® offers significant advantages: it does not produce toxic residues, does not alter the potability of water, does not corrode pipes, and does not irritate the skin.
